Proost caught up with Dubh | Proost
Hi,
Here is a quote from this article:
P: Music is one artform among several for you. Can you tell us a bit about your painting and recent exhibition?
D: The process of painting and the process of making music, are similar for me. Lots of layers, reliance on happy accident, creating a mood, and most importantly, knowing when a piece is finished. Often I create music while literally watching paint dry. The most recent solo show was a bit of a retrospective, and included me setting up my studio in the Gallery and painting there while the exhibition was on.
P: Many of the subscribers to proost like proost because of its creative resources for worship. For those who've never been to Ikon, help them imagine how instrumental electronic music might be a soundscape for worship.
D: Music helps create a mood, gives hints of what is to come. It fills the gaps, creates a coherence, fills awkward silences, or insures that any silences are intentional.
Thanks. God Bless.
Aaron.
